Sacred Oils controllers was conceptualized in January of 2020 at a speedrunning event in Florida, USA. While out for a stroll, two friends stopped at a small nature sanctuary (lovingly referred to as “Small Pond”) and shared their ambitions for figuring out how to tweak controllers for optimal performance. Over the following months, many discussions were had and ideas were shared. The deeper they dug, the more complex the puzzle became.
The friends handled their businesses and projects separately, while continuing to share knowledge gained though tinkering. Skunky48 gave the name “Sacred Oils” to his controller builds in reference to the particulates that make their way into a controller over many hours of use.
Through years of research, and with help from many other passionate and knowledgeable friends, Sacred Oils has been able to consistently improve the functionality of our builds. The goal remains the same: To build the best functioning controller possible.
